The Victoria Falls

The Victoria Falls are simply beautiful, from the moment you see the spray from the plane as you approach Livingstone the Falls really impress all that see them, especially in the early season months  from around February to early August when the Zambezi is still full.
I have visited all of the best camps in the area of the falls, and there are some fantastic options. We have suggested some lodges which we feel offer the best combination of accommodation, location and importantly all offer a range of activities in the cost of your stay, ensuring you get the most from you visit to the falls either at the beginning or end of your safari.

We can arrange all of the flights to co incide with your plans.

Waterberry Lodge is a small and very comfortable lodge located in a peaceful setting amongst woodland on the banks of the Zambezi River only 30 mins from the iconic Victoria Falls. Guests stay in en suite riverside cottages each with its own deck looking over the gardens  full of birdlife. The lodge is an idea base to relax after a long flight, explore the falls for a couple of days at the start or end of a safari in Zambia or Botswana or even Zimbabwe. Known for it's friendly and informal style, Waterberry offers exceptional value, including in the nightly rate two activities per day and airport transfers, (we would arrange those for you).

Wooden walkways snake between the units and main area, limiting our footprint on this pristine area. Tent interiors boast cool wooden flooring, tasteful, uncluttered African décor in earthy hues, climate-control for a cool summer sanctuary, expansive wooden deck from which to soak up the views of the Zambezi River, often to the sights and sounds of birds, elephant and grunting pods of hippo.

The new addition to the renowned Robin Pope Safaris portfolio. Stanley Safari Lodge has a classic safari lodge feel and sits on a hill overlooking the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, the Spray of the Victoria Falls and the majestic wide Zambezi river to the west (sunsets!). A favourite for honeymoons.

The style of the lodge is truly Zambian with a touch of the bygone era. The lodge offers    two types of accommodation: cottages (70 sq. meters) or suites (100 sq. meters). The latter have a private lounge, private dining table and small plunge pool.
